Ian, looking at the Pics of 001, i would hazard a guess that for 99% of her life she was in standard RAF Fighter camo, and we simply swapped serial numbers around.

Very close but nothing to the photo's also has extra not walk markings, depend,s on what batch it it was built also being a demo aircraft would also ahead to the extra markings.

Rob's stuff is superb, all his models are well worth having.
If past experience is anything to go by, I'm sure Peter Watkins will be posting NZ repaints very soon.

I see Rob has been really busy and in the last couple of days also released a Meteor FR9... So the Meteor collection is expanding rapidly.. all thats needed now is an F1 and the production run is complete, then its just the experimental meteors to go.. I know im hanging out for the Tyne Meteor and Sea Meteor

It seems that the Vampire was better suited to us.. though i have visions of a kiwi meteor side by side with our aussie mates (im working on a couple of fictional kiwi schemes). I notice on Rob's website today a current WIP.. the Meteor T7 that will include a fully functioning rear cockpit as well!.. Just need the prototype sea meteor and tyne meteor and this camper will be most happy

Vampires may have been the better choice, RAAF Meteors were not fairing up to well in Korea against the Migs, were as the little Vampire tho a lot slower may have been the achillies heel or hell for them - sort the same as a Hurricane to a Spitfire in combat with a Me109 .. the turning circle ! ..
