In the latest PC Pilot magazine they featured an article on two applications for iPad that can be used with FSX. One is a radio panel (but I use the Saitek panel already) but the other that took my fancy was the touch screen (via Ipad) Garmin G1000. If this is as good
as they say it is, what a cheap option for a hands on Garmin.
Has anyone used or experience this application in FSX ?

thanks

Harold

I haven't tried either, but I've found one I love. Search 'NZAirports', and an app with all of the NZ AIP plates will show up. Awesome as for planning flights, approaches and departures. Also comes in handy in the real world too.

Although I'll never have an Ipad (IPad?), it is easy to see the potential here -- even on my sub $200 Windows phone it is amazing how much can fit into a tiny little device. It would definitely make a great GPS. (It is a perfectly usable car navigation system already.) I just need to wait until there's a lot more apps available.
