A2A s Piper Cherokee , now me and GA planes are , Ok always the joke but this is the type I did my first circuits in

I'll take mine with the basket and the wheels, optional extras, I hope I virtually get yell at again for lack of pre-flight checks ... people are getting to no me for some reason hanging off a wing of the type

Yes indeed, first aircraft i did six cycles in takeoff and landing, found it a lot better to fly than the Cessna were I found the type very different in handling and landing seemed to give you a feel of depth as you approached the ground, as you mentioned plenty of paints , I did buy Brad Dishers Piper for FS9 simply because the Cherokee is the prettier of both aircraft.

Looking good....on my probable list....looks like the Orbx Airtourer isn't too far away too....maybe....must of been in gestation longer than any FS aircraft!

Just talking to Naki about this ... I will get it when it arrives (you only live once ) God i remember the first time i ever "hands on " flew an aircraft .... it was a Cherokee, ZK-CIM , I wonder where she is now ?

Your right , you sit on a piper , but you hang from a cessna do you know if theres any way to track down CIM .... google just tells me i must mean COM
She must be well past her useby date now , it was old in 1973 ....

Whilst I have always been a Piper person (the local Aero Club mostly had Pipers) I've seem to have built a big collection of Cessnas in FSX and no Pipers....my first payware though was the Dreamfleet Piper Archer 11 in FS2002 ...later on I had the Dreamfleet Archer 111 in FS9 (wish an FSX version was made of that). I'm looking forward to this.

Oh yes ... i remember the dream fleet stuff , really nice . I think in its day it was up there with Carenado.

According to what I can find CIM crashed in Porters Pass in 1973.

One of the Cherokees I use to fly in when I was a kid was CNI (it was a 140 though). I had a painting of it in my bedroom. CNI is still around, although from records it had an accident in Awakino in the early 70s (my Dad should be able to enlighten me on that one)

ZK-CIM Piper PA-28 Cherokee 160C , hull co.no. 28-1889 introduced Feb 1972 .. were it is now I don't no .

"crashed in Porters Pass in 1973" BUGGER. I thought Charlie India was a 140 , so long ago now , i remember it had the trim handle on the roof. Went flying with the brother of a school mate , John Smith , he had not long completed his wings course at Wigram i think ... wanted to fly choppers , but found out he had cancer and died not long after ..... poor guy.(suicide)
