NZScenery Autogen Project - New Version 3.0

A new version has been developed with many many enhancements and fixes to the vegetation and urban structured areas.
Due to the many months of work to improve the accuracy of a number of locations the file size reflects this, 9GB compressed, I think currently it is 3GB.
This version is now 3.0 and I’m sure you will enjoy NZ in its fullness.
If you have any questions about compatibility with other scenery i.e Orbx and how to enable this scenery whilst maintaining the beautiful scenery such as airports then I can assist you, just throw me an email.
The new download is available from my website
www.nzscenery.co.nz. I am charging for this version due to the many months of work to bring a more complete and accurate presentation of NZ structures and vegetation scenery.
I have not increased the cost of the product even though a lot of work has gone into it but will need a repurchase.
I’ll always provide as much support as possible to help with any concerns or queries.
Kindest Regards
Kelvin
NZScenery Autogen Project.

Hi Ian,
The autogen uses LINZ data and some other data from Open Street maps and Koordinates as well as a lot of manual labour to match the photoreal scenery that is from 2012 to current as my understanding goes.
Basically the data is newer than any existing sets out there so it is really a custom landclass if you will. Because the autogen sits on photoreal, there is not landclass files as such, just the shape files and processing of these.
Hope this doesn't steer too far from your question.
Cheers,
Kelvin

Has anyone installed this and if so does it make a big difference over version 2.1?
I have purchased and downloaded but having issues installing it and am working with Kelvinr to sort it out but keen to get some feedback on it.

I did have the original version but due to the quality of the photo the AGN grow's well over-sized and out of scale, one of the things you pick up on when hand placing AGN rather automatic, covering the small area, example: Waiouru, three months hand placing objects, housing, buildings and vegetation, that is what makes it look special, least were one can use it as a road-map to home.

Finally sorted my issue out, was a theme called eTec I was using and it was giving me issues. Now changed to another theme and can view the threads as per normal, so sorry for those who asked me questions and I didn't answer, I just could not figure the issue out until today.... it was doing my head in.
Cheers,
Kelvin

Hi Ian,
Sorry for the late reply but as you may be aware I was having issues accessing some threads on the forum, now realise it was due to the theme I was using for the board.
So I am using Orbx mesh, this autogen isn't a mesh product, only autogen over photoscenery. I would disagree that you need any landclass files with photo scenery as the data (shapefiles) I use uses the same WSG84 projection as the BGL files.
Cheers,
Kelvin

Hi Kelvin,
www.nzscenery.co.nz is giving a 404 error. Is there an alternative download link for NZScenery Autogen Project - New Version 3.0?
Regards,
Gary

Hi Gary,
Unfortunately a few things have occurred preventing me from being able to maintain the site and had a few other things get in the way as it goes with any hobby related thing vs real life stuff.
However, I am (slowly) working on a new version but the good thing is that it will be a free download. I also have the existing version that I will provide in due course.
Hope this will satisfy your question.
Cheers.
