On Thursday evening (yes tommorow) at 8pm I will be hosting a second Forum Field server for those who want to practice and meet up for a chat about the day.

It will be informal once again, this time however I would like more focus on actual displays rather than general mucking around, which is fun for sure :D but the 28th is rolling on up fast so lets get things polished.

We will use comms freq's this time, so tower on 127.90 and general chit chat on 123.00

Server Name - Forum Field

Password - NZFF

Expect these servers every other night from now till the 28th.

so basically, if you're not in the air or taxiing, you should be on the chitchat comms frequency?

Yes indeed. The whole idea is the 'chat' freq will be the commentary freq on the day, so then ATC can be kept clear for control and display aircraft to coordinate together.

Any plans to put some of that video up?
Hopefully our second practice with the Harvards + DC3 should be better....

Ive got a PPL exam tonight but should be back in time for some flying...

The general idea will be video and stills will be posted after the show, that way we can build anticipation for the day.

The DC3/Harvard 3 ship isnt actually in the show, it was more a sponmtaneous thing to see what it was like. I think the harvards need to focus on their 4 ship display, you guys bit of a nice tasty bit-o work me thinks ^_^

I recorded everything Tuesday with the fsrecorder utility I asked people to use to record their routine, was great being able to sit back and review the two hours in FSX itself, I missed most of the flybuyts so this way I could watch everything, even my own peformance.

 The contrast between props and jets, I was doing 160 and bits were falling of the cockpit and the damn thing was shaking because I'm pushing her to the limit, and heres Joe smooth in his A321 struggling to stay in the air at 160...

Thankyou, I consider my nose well and truly rubbed in it. I'll see what 'gertie' (yes, thats what the DC-3 and I have decided to call her) can pull out of the bag tonight, maybe some nitro in with the A1?
