Yep it was a great day, although the DC-3 had to return back to Ardmore with engine troubles before it even arrived at WP :( However, I got to meet Alex, Naki, Charl and his son, sat in the cockpits of the 757, C-130 and P3 Orion, witnessed some awesome displays and took 400+ photos which I will sort through and upload :D

Yep great meeting the other three NZFF'ers, I had to scoot off to get my daughter so didn't see the end of the show.

I know the other guys will post superb aircraft shots so I'll just do composites, today I looked at engines in particular.

Awesome stuff guys, I'll have to post-process my shots (i.e copy onto PC and crop-resize them) and of course choose which ones to post. :ph43r:

Was a completely awesome show, best (only :P ) I've ever been to. . Kudos to the men and woman of the armed services for their organisation of it.

Was also great to meet Charl, Trolly and Naki, and hang around with those guys. I think we'll have to get more members meeting up next time, this could become some sort of annual thing. Two things I'd bring next time are; Sunscreen and a seat. :P

Definitly lol I have such a sore back from standing all day and real bad sunburn. (Worth it though)

I was thinking that too!

Yeah- they where advertising a "wing and wheels" show next March in Hamilton which look like it will be another good one.

I caught a ride in a F-111 and it stopped in Tauranga :D - nahh I stopped at a mates place in South Auckland and logged on while I was there.

I have a few photos as well but it might be a few days until I get them posted - the ones already here are better quality than mine.

Cheers
