Some of you guys are doing some really good landings! Have a look at this link to see how the test pilots do it! The last in the scene is quite impressive.

If I remember correctly that was all boeing testing at a special field somewhere in texas ? Have seen it before on pprune and all the 777 clips were on that big 7 video series of the 777 from design to delivery.

That last 777 landing is insane! ninja.gif Just goes to show how safe the big birds really are... and how skilled some of those test pilots are!

It kinda reminds me of my little mini flight test I did to pass my intro to flying paper that I did while at Massey in NZPM... I was flying the same sort of angle on finals... I was looking out the side window!

Although I was only in a piper warrior II... not a 777!!! tongue.gif

From memory they use a military airfield in south america (Peru??) where the cross-wind is notorious and consistent.

I think I could win this battle tongue.gif

Nice video, I had it on my Bebo page a while back. It is in Peru. I'll try and find out exactly where when I get back to NZ (I'm In KL coming back from Europe tongue.gif )

here at work we are able to access the camera feeds from the airport company and in a good xwind it's amazing to set up the camera looking down the runway and zoom right in. The heavies fly the approach crabbed into the wind all the way to touchdown and don't straighten up until on the ground. 23L is especially good when the wind is about 270 and above about 20kts as you get the mechanical turb off the hangars - makes for some exciting viewing! just a pity we can't record it though.
