Saratoga

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Postby Nunner » Sun Feb 10, 2008 11:21 am

Popped into NZAR yesterday and as usual the place was as dead as a dodo but as I
got there what appeared to be the arse end of an American reg'd Saratoga was dis-appearing
up the rwy.
Anyone see it or ideas

Ardmore is new Zealand's busiest airport. Or do you mean bigger things than cessnas?

I saw an american-registered Saratoga at North Shore airfield when I was up there, a few days after Xmas. Probably the same one, I think it was grey, or at least had grey stripes?

Thanks for your reply.
I am aware that NZAR is one of the busiest airfields in NZ but most of the times I get to visit it is
as dead as a dodo as it was on Saturday.
"Or do you mean bigger things than cessnas?" Not too certain what you mean by that but going
to back to my original request I take it you didn't see the Saratoga ?

I think he meant you were implying that there were lots of a/c around at Ardmore, but they were just cessnas etc which don't count :D

Heres a pic of the Saratoga I think you were talking about.

I have read elsewhere (somewhere on this site) that it is owned by a group of English people and they are currently touring the world in it. It has an American rego for convenience.
