Sigh.... angry.gif
You couldnt imagine a worse combination of events... Despite having booked a rental car in Dunedin 8 months ago, Avis refused to give us a car and unbeknown to us, charged us for it on our credit cards.
So off we go madly hunting down a rental, none to be had though.
Spotted a 1990 Ford Sierra Sapphire on the side of the road in over all tidy nick and picked it up for $400.
Literally 2 minutes out of Wanaka, it died, with darkness setting in.
$100 later its towed to a workshop, mechanics gonna have a looksie this arvo but i think the fuel pump is shot.
Currently not too happy, the accomodation that we've booked is in Makarora (bout an hour northwest) and regardless of whether we manage to stay there or not, we're getting charged for it sad.gif
Anyone got a spare set of wheels that they arent going to need for the next couple of days? Anyone else staying out at this Makarora place?
Any help would be gratefully recieved!!!!
