Which airliners do you think are unattractive?

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Talking about 767 vs 777 in another topic got me wondering what others think about this. I've compiled a list of airliners that people often cite as being unattractive and thought it might be a bit of fun to see which ones people here dislike.

It's totally pointless, but then what poll isn't? lol

I haven't broken down the Airbus range into separate categories as I didn't really see the need. Seen one, seen 'em all as far as I'm concerned.

I do know a woman who thinks, and I quote "The Beech is beautiful" referring to the D. I don't have a response to that comment that isn't sexist.

For a truly meaningful discussion on this, and allied topics in this forum, see this thread, and this one, not forgetting this one.
Some of these almost led to blows, certainly some animosity, definitely some members leaving this forum, and widespread use of the epithet:
"I ain't going if it ain't Boeing"

Where's the 'Other' option? None of these are ugly. What about Metro or Jetstream 31/32? Convair 580/640?

Members leaving the forum over this? Wow!

This wasn't intended as a 'winners and losers' poll. I was just curious to see which of these aircraft others also felt looked unattractive. It's obviously a delicate subject to some.

Oh by the way, it's not what is on the outside but what is on the inside.

Bits about each I don't like, the tail of the 777, nose of the 787, A380 is just...too big (Probably the same as when the first 747 was made, just needs getting used to) In love with the Q400 at the moment so I couldn't choose that! 1900D wins with its ugly 'forehead' and those tiny wings at the bottom of the tail (What are they actually there for anyway?)

The 777 looks awkward and ungainly on the outside; but on the inside it's a completely different story. I voted for it anyway. :P

Airbuses are fine, although the A310 can look a little weird from a few angles, A320/30/40/50 I don't have anything against. The A380 I'm not really sure if I dislike, but the Beluga, corrr....

Beech is fine, I fly on it intermittently and think they could certainly do worse; although the 1900C is certainly a more 'well-proportioned' aircraft. ;)

The 787 looks fine (although admittedly I haven't seen very much of it at all). And although the Q400 is a little stretched, there is nothing really 'ugly' about it in my mind... :)

Not really an airliner, but I think the 'Dreamlifter' is a Beluga killer.

A340-500 and A340-600 i reckon look great, the length on them are amazing, and the thai/emirates/etihad/virgin atlantic livery looks great.
I still think the 777-300 looks good along with the 787. 747's are great.

I can't stand the Beech1900D ><
