welcome to sydney... err i mean brisvegas...

qf44 did not quite make is to syd as planned. syd atc staff a little short. 1hr holding, no fuel, so divert bne for refuel.

stuck on board... no booze sad.gif

getting the hard word about mobiles, so better go.

bugger - it's only going to get worse too! both there AND here. we have 2 leaving for the middle east just from the tower here and the possibilty of more. The radar sectors are emptying out pretty quickly as well. heard they are still looking for about 50 (yep thats right 50) controllers just for the Tower at Djebel Ali when it opens next year!

More airtime must be a good thing even without the booze and being on a bus ,did you have a window seat at least ?

Yeah... the great thing about PDA phones... 3G web access smile.gif and the best part is that I don't pay for it! biggrin.gif

Finally made it back, looks like the ATC in oz are having a work to rule or something? Coz the inbound flight on fri, was held up for 20 to 30 minutes coming in to SYD...

I am just going through my usual Detox after a week of travelling on company expenses dry.gif
