Just wondering purely out of curiosity how they would they fix the plane in NPL? Do they fly an engineer down? We were meant to be on the 4.30pm out of AKL last night but first our flight was delayed then cancelled. So was the one after it as it was the same plane. We ended up getting on the bus from AKL to NPL because we wanted to get home. However Air NZ were very good and were giving people the option of bussing or staying overnight then flying today.
Also was quite funny to read that it was on the front page of the paper (Taranaki Daily News) this morning, must've been a slow news day! And that they diverted a Mount Cook plane that was going from Palmy to AKL to NPL to pick up the stranded passengers, would that most likely to have been cause they would have international connections? Like all the night flights that leave AKL?
