Canterbury Aero Club Open Day

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Postby ScottyB » Fri Jan 30, 2009 10:47 am

Hi guys,

As I am a member of the Canterbury Aero Club I've been asked to inform everybody i can about the open day that is happening on the Saturday 31st of January......

OPEN DAY
SAT 31st JANUARY 2009
9.30am – 4.00pm
Fly a plane – just $30 !

The Canterbury Aero Club is again opening its doors to Christchurch on Sat 31st Jan 2009 from 9.30am – 4.00pm. We invite you to come out to our facilities at Harewood Aviation Park (Pound Rd, on the West side of the airport) where you can get up close and personal with the aircraft and relax in our superb upstairs lounge.
Best of all however, you will have the opportunity to fly one circuit, with an instructor, for just $30 !!
If that’s not enough, you can fly over the city for $65 or go all the way with a full Introductory Flight for $95.
In all flights, you fly the plane, including take-off and landing.
If you’ve ever watched a light plane fly overhead and thought “I’d love to try thatâ€￾, this is your chance.
Take a look at what we have to offer, talk to our friendly hosts and instructors and ‘seize the day’. You bet it’ll be worth it. If weather or time intervenes, flights can be ‘rain checked’.

Thanks, ScottyB.

PS: Just remembered this is in the wrong category sorry.... unsure.gif

Thanks very much for the heads up, I am at present trying to convince my friends we need to go. I've been to a couple of these before, they are really neat, and you get to sit in all sorts of cool aircraft/ helicopters etc. Edit: They are keen, yay!
