A fourth unnamed man was winched from the scene and transported to Wellington Hospital, where he is in a serious but stable condition. One News reported that it understood the man had suffered chest and leg injuries and had undergone surgery.

Looks like I'm wrong. In this case I'm glad to be.

A nice kind of wrong .....easy to get caught up in the hype. I remember i was in the Airforce when an RAAF F-111 went in off the coast of Akl.....within hours all the civvi "experts" had the all the info.....all they had was BS......and any speculation at this point about the cause, is just that. The Airforce is a small community, and this is really going to hit them hard, the last thing they need is speculation from numb nut journo's.
Im not getting at you at all 2fst, please dont think i am......

Cheers , fly safe

winkyy.gif all good. I've just been accepted for the air force. Recruit course on 1st June so my face was blank as soon as I found out. Even though I'm not quite in yet, I've felt it a bit more than I probably should.

I've been trying hard to find the article on tvnz ondemand but all I can find is an "Aerial view" video and "Inspector John Spence on the crash". I slept through the news as I've been up since 4:00 getting ready for three ANZAC services for the day. Did anyone see it? And if so, was there any more info in it?

Some poor reporting there regarding the fourth crew member unfortunately (although I guess technically I should say "fortunately" in these circumstances). Thoughts are with him, as well as the families of the men who lost their lives.

I only wish I had questions to ask but for some reason, I seem to be all sorted. That fact is rather unnerving haha!

Back to news: Iroquois crash survivor told of colleagues' deaths

Yikes. Imagine how horrible that would be. Hope the good man is back in action soon.
