I'm curious about this. Why can't our national airline support local talent and showcase local scenery - made in NZ by Kiwis? Shameful. If nothing else, a wonderful opportunity missed.
We have a stunning landscape - with a massively varied weather system - a photographer/film-maker's dream.
It smells of "cheapskate" to me. They could have bought the whole NZ collection for less than one of their boozy lunches they probably had to set this up.Last edited by Adamski on Sat Sep 25, 2010 2:21 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Hmm .. wonder why , Jon setup the entire NZ AI for the Control Tower Training Simulator , figure must have been Jon approached by Airways NZ and now the question lies how was the livery concept released outside NZ .
Edit - its for 2004 /FS9 .. silly me Jon is FSX onlyLast edited by Ian Warren on Sat Sep 25, 2010 4:27 pm, edited 1 time in total.

I think there are a few assumptions being made here. Do we know it wasnt done in NZ? One quick look at the repaint on Flightsim.com and you can see its not the same as the one on the ad. The front aerials for a start are different colours.
Just came across a cool youtube clip of a 747 done in allblacks colours also, dont know how to post the link but just search "FSX Air New Zealand All Blacks"Last edited by GlennAV8R on Sun Sep 26, 2010 10:16 am, edited 1 time in total.

I never said/assumed that it was done outside of NZ ... just that it was a shame the video didn't showcase better what is available for NZ in terms of FS(X) scenery etc. (that's the bit I meant the "local talent" to refer to). Whether the video was produced here or not, I think there are skillful people right here on NZFF that could have done a much better job.Last edited by Adamski on Sun Sep 26, 2010 7:01 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Sorry, misunderstood. Yeah I agree completely that they (or many people on this forum), could have produced a better result. Its a shame none of the talent here was used.Last edited by GlennAV8R on Sun Sep 26, 2010 7:56 pm, edited 1 time in total.

And I forgot to put a "smiley" in my reply to you ... comes across as a bit severe!!!
