High-flying status seeker grabs himself gold

While most people simply dream about becoming a gold frequent flyer, 25-year-old Lindsay Kum managed to do it on the cheap.

"Some people are lucky, they get status through their work, but I kinda had to do it myself," Kum said.

The university business school graduate took so many of Grabaseat's $1 airfares he amassed enough status points to get to gold status.

Nice for some. I've flown almost 50 domestic sectors this year with ANZ (all work related) and got just enough points to get a return airfare across the straight !!
