And another extensive line of CB's stretching from the top of the North Island down through Taranaki at the moment.

The Mrs has just been chatting to a friend who is a controller and she made the comment that all the aircraft in the North Island were off track avoiding weather and nothing was getting in or out of NZNS

Seem's it the in thing to be hit by lightning in the last couple days .. two farmers around the Cambridge region got zapped survived and walk , they put it down to them waring gumby's ... a horse also got Zapped on one oft the same farms and was killed .... Moral of the story ... the horse should have been waring gumboots .
