C-46 in NZ

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

I was having a bit of spring clean today , and i found an old copy of aviation news (june 2011) and there was an article about a couple of C-46 from Taiwan operating here back in the early 50's.
At the peak of their tour , they were doing 11 trips a day between Woodbourne and Paraparaumu.
just wanted to know if anyone knows if there is an FSX 46 around ? (i could check i suppose)

Ive kept the magazine just in case someone wanted to repaint one ....

I just read the article properly , and there were 4 of them , from the Civil air transport company.
Formed by Claire Chennault of Flying tigers fame ..... interesting.

Chatting the other day about the "Flying Tigers" , funny this chap went off the path , yes they were aggressive and there skill in the skies have become legend due to the fact the were mercenaries or hired guns , lack of military discipline and more a whiskey bottle on the hip , it was the Chinese blokes who gave them the name "Tigers" with chasing the pretty Chinese girls around - one of the most famous after the disbandment went back to the Marines was Gregory"Pappy"Boyington ... this is were the famous Black Sheep squadron came about .
