It was simply Panic ! to get away from North Vietnamese regime of the period - Pol-pot was also a leading factor.
This is were this specific pilot became in his own write a legend and a hero, in period he broke all the laws and rules flying everything from DC-8s to the Boeing's well overloaded just getting people out of Siagon , the panic was feverish were ones who could not get on board grabbed anything to get away ... on leaving with his flight had no flight plan the tower told the situation - on mention people were hanging on the UC and in the wheel well slowed the aircraft up flew to Thailand's closes airport - simply they fell to their deaths due to exhaustion .Last edited by Ian Warren on Sun Feb 16, 2014 5:51 pm, edited 1 time in total.
