I've watched; "Worlds Greatest Motorcycle Rides", (Travel Channel), in the South Island, including a 'Copter Tour around the Glacier, where it looks extremely cold!....

..and I wonder what the temperature gradient is, between the coastal roads and the actual Glacier itself?

...remembering that I hate anywhere where its bloody..."COLD"...!

Very sad indeed , but , as Nick said , we just have to wait for the final report.
