Now we really need airsimmer to hurry up with that airbus !

I noticed this line in the article
QUOTE
At list prices, the cost of the 14 aircraft is in excess of US$1 billion[/quote]
"List price" ??? That sent me scurrying to the airbus website but alas, no secure e-store - so much for ordering an airbus online, and I'm blowed if I'm going to email them my visa number. Probably just as well, shipping would cost a bundle laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

I also think it's a pity, especially as the larger aircraft in the ANZ fleet are Boeings (for now anyway laugh.gif )... wonder what Boeing had to say about this decision? unsure.gif

There's just something about the Boeing 737 that the Airbus A320 doesn't have. drool.gif

First of all B should work hard to make DreamLiner from current DreamTaxer, not talking about desicions made.
A320 can use container to load pax baggage, and if u can train ground stuff, it can be faster than manual loading/unloading of separate bags.
A lot of people complaining about, that NZ techops is not happy with A320, but almost everyone in the world are happy with that, so maybe problem not in A320, but techops?

Pacific Blue's latest advertising doesn't exactly make me want to fly with them either laugh.gif . I'm off to Chch next month... let a family member make my booking along with their's and they chose Jetstar. dry.gif ... don't know out of all the airlines to choose from, which is worse blink.gif laugh.gif

Only upside sim wise is that in FSX the default Airbus can track the glideslope clapping.gif

Cool, was hoping we would have some 737NG in the ANZ livery later on but what can you do. Sad to see the Classic 737s going, but for my A320s! I can live with that.

I love how some people are so against one or the other.. From a passenger's perspective good luck finding any huge differences.

You do make a valid point there. Im thinking more along the lines of many years down the track..."if im to fly for ANZ i really dont want to be flying an Airbus" Given any ATPL pilot would be stoked flying any commercial airliner but im being truthful in saying "Airbus.....? unsure.gif you wouldn't have a spare Boeing on hand would ya?"

Make sure you take your own PC as a back up in case the Airbus' system goes down laugh.gif ... oh, and a parachute too. ohmy.gif
