until it all goes wrong, i can just see the plane saying, I'm sorry i don't recognize your pilot number resetting to last known default!!! smile.gif
In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.

Arr then ya just go manual - least they still keep the yoke rather the ARBUST non pressure feel joystick .. seem's to me its logic - FINE for a F-16 were you have an ejector seat and required to move and twist to kill your target.

Least they kept with the norm driving it , even with the fancy gibber gibber and tech stuff in pilot which will move forward least mind set point the plane in your brain case mind is simple ..... for what reason it is a side stick controller rather the 100 year proof of driver knowing which way to go.

Arr Ian, why a ARBUST pirate.gif , that 787 must be related to the A350 as brothers/sisters, why that comp between Boeing and Airbus??? unsure.gif

I wondered why they had an inspection panel open at the wingroot in that pic...
I do hope it's not this:

Love to see a documentary on the build and the machining of this aircraft, specific the wing build and what they use.

Sure, but that's personal experience - mine is the complete opposite - I've NEVER had a problem with an airbus, but had plenty on Boeings.

Interesting that they're allowing photos of the factory production lines to be posted online! When you do the tour they tell you in no uncertain terms that cameras are a total no-no in the factory!!

Every time I observe a 787 I'm reminded of the Wombles of Wimbledon.
Something about the nose and cockpit windows.

Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

Yeah....could well be...the Tail has been painted already, and they don't usually bring them back to the factory once they've started the process of painting them across the road...

Its always been an airliner thing at Boeing, the is completed with logo, this go's back as early as the 74s on the shop floor, was the first to identify plane and customer , simply made it easier for the paint crews.

Ahh the old 74. "If you build it, I'll buy it..." Thank you Juan Tripp wub.gif

Saw the China Southern and Jetstar Dreamliners come in at AKL the other day, must say on landing they weren't very distinguishable from a 76 till they got closer but I can't wait to take a trip on ours when it arrives...
