i don't mind, really, but i 'spose i prefer boeing's. It's a bit like comparing a subaru wrx (airbus) to an old holden (boeing) in a way. the subaru might be a bit quicker, but it won't last anywhere near as long and it's less reliable.

oh and @ monkeybdg, yep that pics ok, but it would top it off with some bigger engines (A340-500!!!) :D

oh, and notice in the airbus pic how where business and 1st class has mood lighting while economy is those harsh fluoro lights

What is wring with the 733s??

I really dislike all airbuses. When i was flying 'round America/Mexico I did not feel safe until I was back on the 747

Boeing for the World!!!!!!

Well a few things I feel the need to mention

First off the question is still out about ANZ's 733 replacement it will either be A320/319 for 737-700/800.

Secondly When I was on Air Tahiti Nue last year those A340-200/300 engines are way way way too small.

And Finally Boeing in my opinion Boeing make Aircraft better than airbusssss

They both build airplanes, that makes them both equally great in my eyes. Hell if you asked me to compare a PZL Wilga to a P-51 Mustang I'd still probably rate them equally. If it flies it's good in my books.

I don't think it's really a case of who makes better aeroplanes as such, but people's opinions on such things as automation, as well as looks.

haha, I knew someone would say this.
My argument is "you never know"

And on the 737 replacement theories, my bet is that Air NZ will either buy the final lot of 737-700's as the come off the line (like they did with the 733's), once the 737 replacement (Boeing Y1) starts being produced

yea but you see airbuses have magical devices that stop them eaither going up to high or turning to hard. And 707 didn't i think ;)

I wanna change my vote to airbuses now  Have a look at this beauty

The exception to this being the A340, IMO.

I agree with Monkey here all the way down the line.......I'm a boeing man for sure.......but the a340 is a sexy aircraft any which way you slice it. :plane:
