I belive that is a Douglas A-1 Skyraider? (Thought it was a Trojan to start with...)

BTW, just a tip for future image posters- blur out the aircraft rego before uploading so we can't just search airliners.net for it winkyy.gif

Actually that's cheating, no more than one plane should be allowed, and it must have a NZ connection to appear in this forum.
Otherwise someone could highjack the thread with something like this:

Person who gets this right has first option on which seat to take for first flight at Oshkosh next year.

Cant for the life of me remember the model number but the NATO codeword is the 'Atlant' I think its made by Myasishchev. We got an email at work that had some photos of it and other aircraft from that airshow. The code will probably come to me at 3 in the morning!

OOOOOoooooOOOOOooooo I know I know pick me pick me its a really really really ugly plane am I right go on I know Im right.

This response is the direct result of a double shot espresso coffee causing me to have endless energy till it finally smacks me in the head at 3am and I crash for the next 48 hours hehehehe peace out and happy flying while I happily get high off freshly ground coffee beans.

Crikey how sad has my life become when I require coffee to keep me going lol.

I might have the model number wrong, but is it a Myasishchev M-4A by any chance? I think chopper nut is on to it with the "Atlant" part though, I think that's the specific designation for the version with the cargo pod on top.

I never knew it had the nickname 'Atlant', but you guys are right. It's the Myasishchev VM-T, currently sitting on the right side of the Airliners.net homepage in the peoples choice coulom. There were a heap of shots of it from the big MAKS 2007 Moscow Airshow floating around latley, so I thought some of you might get it, although I expected the big balloon (something to do with the Soviet Space program I think) above it to throw you off tongue.gif
