Andrew did you come up to the Aero Club and talk about flying with a person behind that desk? That was me. If not someone looks just like you
As for the Extra, it’s a 300L, it will be operating from next year by XFlight, at this stage through the Auckland Aero Club

What a *stonker* of a day! A few clouds would have been appreciated (for once)!
Here's my "Belle of the Ball" - but sadly sprung a fuel leak ... arrrrgh!
I always enjoy the Havards. No aerial shots - I just sat there and *watched*!
Our dear old Dak keeping an eye on things:
Oh so photogenic ...
The [awful] moment if truth ... errrmm .. what's that *smell*????
Some great aerobatics from the Extras <?> ... and the Harvards were at their wonderful raspy selves. They sort of "sound how they look", if you know what I mean. Great! The P40 was the token WWII fighter - and was awesome. I really don't like that Messerschmitt "thing" ... I was kind of hoping the Ardmore Ack-Ack popping away in the background might force it to land
For some reason, the 3/4 size Thunder Mustang leaves me cold ... but it was a pretty good display nonetheless.
Sadly, it was not to be for the Spit. Such a shame ... but still - this was another wonderful, friendly, low-key Kiwi event ... just how I like them! Believe me - when you've been to shows with wall-to-wall pink teddy bears, fairgrounds, Lotto ... when you can't even hear a Merlin over the hubbub ...
Didn't spot any NZFF faces or T-shirts ... maybe NEXT time!!!

Likewise, always good to put a face to the name/screen name. It's always a strange moment having to decide whether to address someone formally or by their online alias!

Funnily enough, I didn't see or hear any mention of Pearl Harbour, although my parents did rent it on DVD last night, upon my suggestion

If that person had some sort of weird hybrid accent, half British and half kiwi, then yes that would have been me. Small world!
Top shots too Adamski, I should have checked this thread before I left, as I reconise your picture from the Ohakea DC3 flight. I guess at future shows we should organize a proper meeting place/time.
My own snaps are much of the same, so instead of doubling this thread up, I've put it in a separate posting here.

I agree, we are usually all with family and/or friends so even if it's just for 20 minutes to get too know each other a little better, would be good! 
PS I thought that BF108 TAIFUN was going to stall and crash at one point during its performance! It climbed to about 300 metres then seemed to stall, drop and kicked in again at about 100 metres. My jaw dropped to say the least!

Unfair to say maybe, but that is my least favourite warbird, probably because it's not what it seems.
I watched from near the Citation as he kicked the rudder over from that zoom overhead, and had a little moment's pause while he mushed down out of it.
I am reminded of an SU-27 that did that at an airshow, but unfortunately tangled with the crowd line.
