Alex
Was real nice in CH today, despite what the weather forcasts were. I took a plane from ch to timaru for maint this afternoon,- was stinkin hot. Stopped at ashburton and had a look at the aviation museum there, wow that place is getting bigger and better by the day. Had a looksy in their harrier, sat in the canberra (very cool) and a nosey through the friendship which is in a fair bit better condition than when it was up at wigram not all that long ago...

I've been thinking:
WTH? Wellington's gonna be hotter than Vietnam when we go there!
I thinks there is something wrong with Wellington weather. It isn't meant to be this hot.
If the weather in Vietnam is anything like it was in MAlaysia, don't worry, there'll be plenty of heat..![]()
Somehow KL managed to be about 10 times hotter/more humid than we've had lately.

On my two day SIN stopover it'll be around 35 degrees (although last time I was there I found Penang and K.L. alot hotter than SIN for some reason) Anyway, you get used to it after a day or two
Hmmm... I've been to Vietnam a few times and have lived in Asia for the last 14 years. I've not been to Hanoi, but Ho Chi Minh / Saigon was always MUCH hotter than any place I've been in NZ (subjectively anyway!)

It's not so much the heat but the humidity that buggers you. Eg in Darwin in Oz it is generally 30-35 all year but in the dry season (winter) it feels much less choking than in the summer when it is near on impossible to do anything outside
