ZK-NGK is now scrapped, got some pics of the aircraft from nzcivilair blogspot website.

However, something about this makes me wanna rant here

Why the hell would anyone paint a aircraft in FSX like this? what really gets me here is all that cr@p when someone pulls a plane apart and storing it hull and on airport grounds. No one will ever fly a friggin aircraft which looks like this. This is where everything falls apart here. They strip off the wings out, the vertical tailfin and the tailplane, bloody arrogant of them, This undermines the spirit of NZ aviation here, it's rego doesn't even show up on the fuselage, WTH is on about all this cr@p done to this beautiful plane, stripping it apart? Pure piece of bulls**t.

Mods, delete this if you want to, but this really gets me so angry, hyper and my blood boiling, Rant Over! angry.gif

I always used NGKs on my 900/1100s , only one brighter spark picked up the subliminal joke ... can get quite shocking testing the things.

ANZ is a business, not a flying museum. The 733s are no longer economical to operate, especially compared to the new A320s.

Well that's a thought, who is going to get the museum rights to hold onto one off these , near 50 years in the skies adds to a special place in NZ aviation history , I would prefer the 200 Classic first introduced in 1968.

"ANZ is a business, not a flying museum. The 733s are no longer economical to operate" exactly ..... their machines designed to generate revenue , when that no longer happens , the go.
There is nothing arrogant about it , for goodness sake .

It would have good to even drag out Ole NGK on the ramp for last weekend , last time to kick the tires so to speak.

Well, sorry for that Marty type rant there.

Marty, you're right, these aircraft are becoming economically not viable, so thats why they have to go, oh and that airframe was 19 years old, so it had to be scrapped, but it is unnecessary to remove key basic parts like the wings, the tailfin and the tailplane. Also, looking at it scrapped, I don't like the look of the aircraft, also comparing to FSX, it won't be a good repaint for a 737 plane.

OMG, Mods are after me, I'd better run ninja.gif

Wait, I made a mistake here, They have to take it apart. Even the engines, the rudders, elevators, flaps, slats, doors, seats etc. tho there is no way that they can scrap if they can't take it apart. I saw YT videos about aircraft being crushed to debris. It really is me at fault! blink.gif
