The scariest and best emergency landing I've ever seen. Probably not new for all of you.

It almost looks if it was planned , the cameras , passenger with his only seconds .. before the prob .. looking like he tampered with fuel selectors .... dont no , just looked to convinient , if it was real prob just lucky it wasnt peak hour traffic or didnt have to stop at the lights laugh.gif .

Wow incredible video! The fact that there were no traffic on that road he picked to land on was amazing- would love to see a video from a bystanders perspective. I also wonder if the guy in the right hand seat was an instructor, he seemed real calm and pointed out the various fields when the engine died.

I'm currently practicing EFATO in my 172, and when that engine dies, its a real panic to remember all the checks in order, let alone get it down in one piece. That pilot deserves a medal! notworthy.gif

Engine sounded like a two stroke... and judging by the fact the he could restart it after about half a minute I would say it was probably seizing.

Or fuel issues.

Enough to start, starve, restart

Wow if the engine hadn't started back up he would be in the trees!
But a great landing none the less! biggrin.gif
