Will be good to see a US airline back in NZ skies as a regular, and with 787s no less!

I did Auckland - Vancouver a few years ago, that was far enough. Well, i was a sucker for punishment, we had a 2 hour stop over then got onto a flight for Toronto.
But ya, long hauls make for bad times lol

One thing you can say "Mr Fyfe says Air New Zealand was due to have taken delivery of the 787s at the end off this year, but it has been put of until 2013 and there is a possibility it could be delayed further" least will just as new in a couple off years smile.gif

"I ain't going if it ain't Boeing"

Going nowhere, old son...the Plastic aeroplane is the product of a Nu Wave of unAmerican thinking, steep learning curve there.

Garth Bray: Flying Kiwis in Seattle
The sky is dark at 4pm on the shortest day of the year and, less than 24 hours since my feet touched the ground in Seattle, this brief visit to the home of grunge, Jimi Hendrix and Boeing is more than half over.
I've spent most of the day out at Boeing's Everett production facility. Famously it was the world's biggest building by volume when built - and I'm told it's doubled in size since then

Think the 72 is goneburgers cos of noise restrictions in Sydney, hence the DHL 75 replacement.
