Emergency Airworthiness Directive Fletcher FU24 Series Aeroplanes - eff 11 sept
This emergency AD with effective date 11 Sep 2010 is applicable to FU24 series aircraft conducting parachute-drop operations and is prompted by a recent accident which indicated it is possible to exceed the aircraft aft C of G limits during parachuting operations. This AD mandates a weight and balance calculation before every parachute-drop operation to confirm the aircraft C of G will remain within AFM limits for the duration of the flight.

I guess we know the probable cause of the crash at Fox Glacier now.

Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!
