Yes, there have been a number. I noted this comment at the end of the article:
"It said there had been a sharp rise in deaths and near-misses involving training aircraft in the past decade."
I was wondering about this, and thought it would be interesting for those on NZFF who are either instructors, ATC or are in some other way very closely involved in civil aviation in NZ to comment. Do you think this is due to a decline in training, maintenance or lack of radar coverage? Or is it due more to just a much larger number of aircraft in the skies and people training?
