smile.gif Still an awesome display as ever - Actually thought I going to miss the display - had Just gone threw Huntly on to the waikato expressway and next thing their were 5 Airtrainers flying alongside then over SH1(at approx 1000FT) - But Luckly they started at the advertised tiime of 12.40PM.

Updated RNZAF DISPLAY SCHEDULE FOR 2011

The 2011 Programme
AIR SHOWS
Please note, there will be no RNZAF Base Open Day in 2011. However, the Air Force will be be supporting community events around the country. To find out if the Air Force will be on display in your area, please check out the dates below.

January
30 January - Red Checkers at New Zealand Festival of Motor Racing, Hampton Downs, Auckland.

31 January - Red Checkers at the Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta.

February
12 February - Red Checkers at Coast to Coast finish, Sumner, Christchurch.

13 February - AIr Force Museum Open Day at Wigram, Christchurch featuring a range of Air Force aircaft past and present.

18-20 February - Red Checkers at Napier Art Deco weekend.

26 February - Air Force aircraft on display for North Shore Aero Club open day.

April
9 April - Red Checkers at Kaipara Harbour Spectacular.

21-24 April - See a range of Air Force aircraft on display at Classic Fighters, Omaka.

25 April - Red Checkers display on ANZAC Day over Wellington Harbour.

30 April - Red Checkers at Vintage Aviatior, Masterton

Please note: All static and flying displays are subject to change.


Looking ahead to 2012
The Royal New Zealand Air Force will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2012. Part of the celebrations will be an open day and air show on 31 March at RNZAF Base Ohakea.

Watch the skies over the City and foreshore as our visiting aircraft swoop and turn in the blue sky. Flying displays with the RNZAF Red Checkers, the Warbirds Display Team and others. These are not to be missed! If the weather is nice why not have a picnic on the lawns while you enjoy the displays.
Fri 18 from 7.45pm - best view from the Sound Shell.
Sat 19 from 12.15pm - Above Emerson St.
Sun 20 from 2pm - over Marine Parade and the Gatsby Picnic.
