One of our most famous aces has just died at the grand old age of 96. For much of his Air Force career his aircraft (P-40) were named Waiarapa Wildcat (as per my Avatar). A fair chunk of his Japanese kills came about when he was flying the obsolescent Brewster Buffalo when defending what was left of Sinagapore and Malaya

RIP our Hero

Yes I agree, a good flick about the pacific skies, a good 3hr epic smile.gif

A brewster Buffalo aye, wow, the old pregnant peanut smile.gif

Not many survived in those, he must of been an outstanding aviator.
