Never seen a C-17 landing at Palmy before, anyone else see it? Came in low and slow about 5 minutes ago (~11am). Wonder what its doing here.

Don't think so, it was too big to be a BAe 146. But, I only seen the tail end of it. Going to the airport now to check it out.

A41-207 started today out of Whenuapai then direct to Wellington for an approach, then Palmy, Hamilton, Ohakea (for lunch by the looks) and I understand next approach/overshoot will be Whangarei sometime around 1500 before back to Whenuapai.

I think its been used to transport desalination units to Tokelau and some other nearby Inlands that are running out of water. Both NZ and AU are helping out

C-17 just flew over Glen Eden in a NW direction. Whenuapai bound I would assume.
