Quite unbelievable - that so many hundreds of man-hours go into sprucing a plane like this up, then it's taken outside to rot!!! Looks beautiful ... but so sad ... a bit like a caged bird sad.gif

Congratulations to all that put in so much care - and to the crane driver that didn't drop the thing! They must all be so pleased/relieved!!!

Great pics, too - wot, no clouds? laugh.gif

laugh.gif I thought "pole dancer" would get your attention. A few people have said the same thing Adam.....the best looking harvard in the counrty(even if it is just cosmetic)....and... dry.gif However there is a plan in place to have it checked and cleaned every six months.

That crane driver and the guy directing him were amazing, for a good part of the operation he(the driver) couldnt really see what he was doing.....and it was a perfect morning, hot , clear and thank god no wind.....or quakes.

Your welcome Ham, not as dramatic as yours though......Im surrounded all day by aircraft that cant fly , but probobly wish they could. But it was nice to see a bit of sky under 50's wings again.
