Heres a quick heads up for any Auckland based planespotters:

Air New Zealand's last Boeing 777, ZK-OKH and is scheduled for arrival into AKL at 21:25 on January 18th 2006.

It should make for some nice sunset evening photography! B)

What do you mean by last 777 Trolly? Are they getting rid or something?

Lol, no that is mid summer and as Alex mentioned it is still light at that time. The low sun makes for great photography with the ambient light creating a dull orange glow of the fuselages ;)

Anyhow, I won't be in NZ on that date, so I am hoping someone manages to capture it and post it online

oops me bad

After I posted realised I made a little tiny weeny mistake over that Sunset Time  I forgot the Chart I was looking at was GMT and also forgot that we were +13 hours in January B)

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/a ... l=-1&day=1

Might find this site for the future ;)

As you see Alex the scheduled arrival time is 41 minutes after sunset which usually is 11 minutes into Civil Twilight thats the point Stars become visible ;)

I forgot to mention tommorow (22nd) is the Longest day :P

Isnt ECT just the start of the "official" nighttime?

Not neccessarily when theres no more sunlight and stars are out.

Im sure there will be light.

Well, good news and bad news...
Good: ANZ's newest 777 arrived tonight!
Bad: But it arrived at 2025, not 2125 as expected by Trolly

Lucky for you and me I was out there early enough to watch it come in. In fact, if it had been at 2125, it would have been too dark to get a decent shot.
So here, for your viewing pleasure, arriving as NZ 6703 (Towerguy confirm?), is ZK-OKH :D

Great shot, so that was straight from the factory?

I think so. I presume it came non stop from Seattle, perhaps Towerguy can shed some light?
It taxied to the International terminal, so probably had the Air NZ bigwigs on it. Really shiny too, plus the 4 digit flight number stuck out.

 Three cheers for Zöltuger!

Thanks for capturing that mate, and sorry about that incorrect flight arrival time- I was told '2125' by the captain of that aircraft, so I am not sure why it changed...

Did you upload it to airliners.net ? You would proberly get it accepted straight away being the first person to capture OKH B)

As far as I know it was flown directly to AKL from Boeing Field.
