Have a read of this

http://www.stuff.co.nz/travel/travel-troub...dy-for-take-off

Basicly what this guy is saying is that he is scared of watching Air Crash Investigations and cant understand why anyone else would want to because he doesn't

He says ''Who in their right mind would watch a television program called Air Crash Investigation?''

What about all the other cr@p on tv? what about watching Miley Cyrus prancing around naked with wrecking balls?

He also says this: ''Flying in commercial aircraft is an act of trust. Once I'm on the plane, I've made that pact of trust. I really don't need to be worrying about whether our landing will be a "non precision approach" or not''

Well shut up then and stop telling everybody what you like and dont like!!

Sorry to moan people but this guy really riles me angry.gif angry.gif smiliz2.png

He does have a point, regardless of how people "in the industry" might see it. He has the same right I have to watch or not watch if a subject
disturbs/annoys him. I have exercised this right more and more as the reality type rubbish has increased to the point now where TV viewing
has become very selective. I can appreciate that many people who have a fear of flying would find this type of viewing disturbing, again they
have the choice. This guy also has the right to blog away along with thousands of others all pushing their particular barrows. A sign of progress (sigh.)

Having another ride out to airport last week as I mention , three from down south were intrigued with aircraft and off three generations as i mention the all up weights of the types taxing past , only Dad had done any flying and that was only on Cessna's and a helicopter .

As i mention the weight and its takeoff speeds again they were just in ore .... most people who do not like flying are generally ones who hate theme parks for the rides , I told them the structures telling them the skin off the aircraft was only slightly thinker than a coke can and a lotta of hi stress area's are basicly plastics .

Some thing do go POP every now and again , but to have someone write they are all death rides are only good with worlds and have now understanding of engineering and the constant developments , ignorance is bliss is that what not they say but dumbness is writing about something they no nothing about .

Course you also get the pass the buck engineers or ground staff .... you get the jet jocks who says a duck can fly better than a co-pilot - these people who do make word like that should stick to Coronation Street and Emerdale farm.

I totally agree with Dash8captain. I'm getting sick of people whining about what they don't want to do. Don't do it then, no need to share. I personally think that TV has no value left in it, but I won't write a heated article about it, nor judge people who watch it. Just live your life man....quietly....How hard can that be?

This particular "whine" may not be a good example, but what is the suggestion here......?

If you disagree strongly against something you sit back and say nothing ? I wonder where the world would be
if this had been the attitude over the centuries. In this case "A" comments and says something that "B" disagrees with,
should "B" sit back and say nothing..? You can't have it both ways.

I see where you're coming from, perhaps my wording was misleading. I didn't mean that everyone should just quietly accept all the wrong/sick things happening around them. But then let's have a look at the other extreme. What would happen if everyone would publish their opinions on things they don't like? I just can't see the value.
