As troubled as the 787-8 programme has been, the -9 looks like the Real Deal.
It's built on the lessons of the recent past, so presumably it won't spontaneously ignite or want to have its wings re-attached smile.gif

It's also the best-looking model (and roll-out paint is the best in a decade too): the -8 is a little stumpy, and the -10 a little overstretched.
Glad we're getting it.

(Thankfully, our 787's are Trent 1000 powered.)

The GEnx engine has an icing problem, and JAL has grounded its 787 longhaulers:

"Boeing on Friday issued a notice prohibiting the affected aircraft from flying at high attitude within 50 nautical miles of thunderstorms that may contain ice crystals."
