Did anyone in the chc area yesterday between 1 and 3 see a large white chopper tracking toward lyttleton . I noticed the sound first (heavy turbine , big rotor noise)
When i spotted it, it was heading well away from me , so a got a quick view of the std rear .
It almost looked like a Puma .... hard to tell .
Could have been anything i suppose ... got me stuffed.

We had a bright sun and it was warm , could have easy been a NH-90, near the same profile, that stage Rick was putting signage up on my place those massonary drills make a hell a noise I would have missed it .

As far as I know the only puma in NZ is the heli harvest one which is based in Auckland and unless they repainted it, isnt white. The mystery continues...

Profile is so totally different , Sprite has more a S-58/Wessex profile .. I'm guessing be more likely a NH-90

These Two have Been Tracking southbound over the last fews days out of NP as Anadarko's Oil exploration move's South

Both belong to HNZ so that explains the white paint job
