Hello,

Does anyone know what cost index Air New Zealand uses for their A320 on domestic and international flights?

30 is used on International flights but I'm not sure what is used domestically.

I've stopped using realistic cost indexes, fuel's free so I use 999 smile.gif

It would be interest to compare the costing with the Boeing 737-800 on the same routes, Airbus was brought in belief that it was economic and cheaper to run on all sectors, now with corrosion in wings and other areas the cost is more than the replacing of the Boeing fleet.

Speaking to aircraft engineers and few other people in the know, maintenance has shown many other problems with the ARBUST fleet, engineering wise it was not to bright to buy.

I agree with Ian, having talked to many engineers up this way as well and heard the same thing - the only ones who think they were a good buy are the seat shiners in the accounts department.

Strange, when introducing the plane, comments from ground crew and handlers simply hated the things regarding quick turn around and one training pilot for the 737/767 fleet had a few words to say about them as well and they were not good.

Didn't it kind of make sense since they already (leased?) A320's? Do many carriers have 320s and 737s?
