Well as you guys already know about the 100th anniversary of WWI, Did you know that this year is ALSO the 75th anniversary of WWII?

Interestingly, both these world wars happened with a 25 year gap of each other.

Events in WWII mainly involving the use of aircraft

Battle of Britain (German Luftwaffe vs British RAF)
Pearl Harbour (Japanese Kamikaze bombers vs USAF)

Aircraft used in WWII (Some aircraft are still operating today) by New Zealand as they fought for Britain

Supermarine Spitfire

Though, maybe some of your parents/grandparents who are war veterans might have flown one of these aircraft during the war or had fought on land for this country.

Many innocent lives were taken as a result of this war and Hitler's force. New Zealanders were among the innocent lives taken.

We live in a peaceful, calm, prestige country with no warfare, no hardship, freedom, hope, glory and our almighty strength as a small country, in the Oceania Continent, and in Earth.

My condolences to those who lost your loved ones 75 years ago.
