Two black arm band dates for the calendar.

SUH exits service on 15 July

NBV exits service on 12 Sept.

SUH is off to the knackers yard and NBV has been sold but as yet not sure who to.

It has always amazed me how one day an aircraft is a fully functional and operational aircraft and then the next it is scrap.

It is a real shame that a re-egine option, plus a winglet mod like the 767, was never offered for the 747-400. I guess that was never looked at due to the pending 747-8 (which came along just too late).

I'm just pleased you gave me us the Head Ups when that 747 was doing it training flights and circuits around Christchurch
