A typical response from those that do not fully understand aviation.
This accident would probably have happened with or without regulation. NZPP is running fine, however there are inherent risks when operating at any airfield that does not have an ATC service.
Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!
