It looked nice on approach but a Beech that landed behind it had only a 10 min longer flight time.

I guess trying to put a 150 people on a beech would a bit harder unless you had washboards and hand rails bolted to the side of the Beech not to mention a flip top lid for standing room only :D

Well that too .. 150 midgets .... If your going to use a Beech, we may have to change the name to Air New Zealand Indian Airlines :lol:

Now I'm disappointed that this took so long to get on the forum. Given the excitement it created at the airport I thought a photo might have been up in seconds :)

Lots of money being spent on aeroplanes with the A320, a B1900, a J32 plus a couple of lighties all involved.

Interestingly The A320 went from Palmy to Wellington at only 8,000ft. It might have been quicker to go VFR ;)

Quite right... must be the same size as the 7310 mentioned later in the piece!
