I've just (more or less) completed a site for a long-time buddy that's set up an Airshow Travel company. I've yet to get to Omaka or Wanaka myself, but I'm hoping his company will help others tick off a few items from their bucket list!

All comments/criticism much appreciated!!!!

Here's Pete and his Nanchang (which I've been lucky enough to have a joy-ride in)!

Looking at what goes on at the Omaka show - it does seem an incredibly "Kiwi" kind of a show. I *nearly* got to see it a few years ago, but got stuck in Golden Bay, !

I suppose I really should start saving for Wanaka 2018 - as that's going to be extra special (30th Anniv).

We're kind of spoilt in Auckland, with so many great shows at Ardmore - and Tauranga just down the road. I even got to see a few freebie shows at Whenuapai, when they still did those. I've been to dozens of shows in the UK but, honestly, Kiwis shows are just so much friendlier.

All donations to my "Get me to Wanaka 2018" slush fund greatly appreciated! Now, where's that Paypal donation button when you most need it?

BobL and I had a *very* memorable trip from Ardmore down to an Ohakea show in the NZ Warbirds DC-3. Sadly, not a jump seat ride - but at leat we got to inspect the air hostesses B-)

It is time someone did a Nanchang for flight sim I know someone did start one a couple of years ago but it never saw the light of day.
I have had quite a few hrs in the back seat of the Nanchang a couple of them doing aerobatics and a few doing formation practice real good fun.

Agreed! I searched highand low for one, but couldn't find one. It's a good looking aircraft and well worth doing, IMHO.
