Went down to Ardmore this afternoon to do some practice in CIT, and got a few photos while I was there. There were heaps of spotters next to the runway today too, mostly families out for the day I expect. Anyway, here are 14 pics I took:

Everything feels very "autumey" already, even though it was a real hot afternoon

Yeah JOS is an aerostar, the reason you don't see many around is because they have horrible asymmetric characteristics, (hence the nickname deathstar) they're quite powerful and as you can see they have a tiny rudder, giving poor directional stability.....

Awesome aircraft at ardmore, as always. I think I saw DNE around Nelson once. Love the 180/185 as well.

I'm working my way through the training syllabus- will get it at the end ;)

Cool, did you see me standing in line with the piano keys? Are you doing flight training with Airline Flying Club or were you just up for a joyride?

CTG tail-struck?

I actually had the quick snap feature on (one click takes 5 photos really quickly one after the other), and it touched down relatively smoothly:

It looks a bit weird with the pant wheel cover on the front wheel but not on the back two.

Speaking of small worlds, I'm 99% certain that's a friend of mine in that Grumman, I think he had renewed his currency in it earlier in the day.

Nice shots Trolly - I always find the photos from Ardmore more interesting than the bigger airports because I like the variety and I guess I am more interested in GA and Warbirds anyway.

Interesting that ZK-CTG is still around - it brings back memories - I use to fly in that 150 with my dad back in the 70's when it was in the Stratford Aero Club fleet and was painted in red stripes if I remember correctly
