Watch on youtube.com

This is an interesting video. It shows the Booster separation and landing in the sea afterwards.

Spectacular stuff, thanks for posting.
Do you know at which point that whole thing (on launch) breaks the sound barrier?

When the vehicle goes through Max Q which is when the cloud forms around it.

I should clarify, it goes through Max Q because it goes supersonic. Main engines are throttled down prior to going supersonic to reduce aerodynamic stress.

Not necessarily, vapour only forms when there is moisture present. The only way to know is when it passes through a speed 761.2 MPH! Which is on the video. The Boosters do not pass through the GRAVITY SHELL which has an orange tint but inside the Astronauts experience a violent nausea as gravity lines pass through the body when they go through it. In order to protect Astronauts a GRAVITY SHADOW UNIT is used to dampen the GRAVITY SHELL experience. Rocket Labs Rockets do not reach the altitude of the Boosters separation point. They have never been into space! You need a bigger rocket in order to accomplish it. So Orbit is out past the GRAVITY SHELL and that is what holds Earths air on the planet. In order to achieve GEO-STATIONARY ORBIT you need to have 30 meters of your Space Ship inside the Gravity Shell. It is not visible and can only be achieved with SYSTEM WIDE NAVIGATION SYSTEM which uses Satellites. It is like GPS but in Space. :plane:

No, there is a continuous burn by the thrusters, in Space Ships and Fighter Jets there is no requirement for throttle adjustment when exceeding the speed of sound. With a rocket the precision of flight is that you have to have a continuous burn and climb accurately in order to achieve orbit. There is no stress on an aircraft or rocket when going through transonic speed so long as it is aerodynamically shaped, the Space Shuttle is in fact Hypersonic and goes well beyond the speed of sound during re-entry. You can see the airspeed in MPH it is Hypersonic during the climb you need to be much faster in order to cut through the GRAVITY SHELL. :plane:

The shuttle engines are throttled down to reduce aerodynamic stress on the whole vehicle, not just the orbiter. As long as there is air pressure, there is aerodynamic load. Stop with the other nonsense, you're just making yourself look like a fool.

Wrong, you are the fool Mister M2 INDOCTRINATOR, for Orbit it has to be a clean and continuous burn. There is no dropping of the throttle, it is a continuous climb. There is no stress from passing to Supersonic speed on the Space Shuttle, Boosters and Tank. The type of aircraft that it does affect is aircraft that are the wrong shape for Supersonic flight. This Space Ship goes beyond Supersonic! How can you believe that at Transonic speed it is too stressful when the whole Space Ship flies Hypersonic. You have clearly no idea! Also for Orbit the calculations are extremely precise, there is no reducing of the throttle. For climbing to Orbit it has to go to an escape velocity so everything is to accelerate as quickly as possible to reach that velocity. The crew do not have a throttle for the rocket! So how do you expect them to throttle back! If you watch carefully the video there is no change in the burn at 700 MPH and there is no bump or anything that would indicate an aerodynamic problem at transonic speed. Now have a guess what controls the Space Shuttle. :plane:

Everything you have written is wrong. I've talked with shuttle test pilots and astronauts about flying the vehicle. I'm confident in my understanding in aerodynamics and orbital mechanics. You have no idea. Fin

Really and yet you confuse THROTTLE UP with the Speed of Sound. The Astronauts do not alter the throttle on a Rocket or Space Shuttle, it is all automatic. You are confused as to why there is a THROTTLE UP and assume that it has to do with the TRANSONIC AREA of FLIGHT. It is not it is to do with reaching 15 000 meters before FULL THROTTLE so that there is less DOWNWARD THRUST on the Ground otherwise it knocks buildings over and breaks windows. So the FULL THROTTLE is at 15 000 meters which means that it is clear to go for full power in the climb. The Astronauts do not touch anything except watch the instruments, the whole thing is done by AUTO-PILOT. There is no problems with the speed of sound and going past it. They cannot throttle back to gently pass through that velocity and it is not coded to behave like that either. Your experts like you are arm chair and not the real deal. It would be good to see a decent Flight Sim that covers Space Travel then you would see the technical aspects of rocket flight. For reaching ISS the accuracy is in the MICRO-MILIMETERS in order to reach ISS and Dock. The same goes for Sky Lab, if it is out by a millimetre then you can easily miss your target and scrub the mission. And if you are out by a millimetre when docking it can damage equipment.

Simple Google search.
Why do space rockets throttle down?
For many rockets, if launched at full throttle, the aerodynamic forces would be higher than what they can withstand. For this reason, they are often throttled down before approaching max q and back up afterwards, so as to reduce the speed and hence the maximum dynamic pressure encountered along the flight.

The thropttle range of the Shuttle is 65 to 100 %

SUBs so far you haven't come up with a single reference to support any of your posts to this, or many other topics.
If you can't provide credible references then you are just spreading fairy dust.

What you wrote there is not an ounce of credibility. Do not believe everything that you read off the internet.
The burn of the rocket is not throttled down it is a constant rate of acceleration throughout the TRANSONIC as can clearly be seen in the video above.

I think most of us are just frustrated that he (?) makes ridiculous incorrect claims and then refuses to back them up with anything.

There are two members on my Ignore List, and he is one of them. Still a nuisance, but I can still mark a forum as read if either of them intrudes.
