Essentially a half-size C-17 this very competent aircraft was pitched at the RNZAF.
I suspect RAAF commonality requirements sealed the 130J deal.

Posted: Thu Sep 05, 2024 6:21 pmI believe that one of the reasons for selecting the C130 J was that it is one of the most common aircraft used by various Militaries around the world thus making part procurement so much easier when away from home. I must admit that Embraer does look cool though.

That is RNZAF base Whenuapai (Auckland)
