Hey guys sorry about the quality of the video after all it was taken on my phone but these 3 fletchers took off to perform a wicked aerial display over head the Fieldays 2007 was cool watching them takeoff in such a short distance.

You guys might be getting your Fletchers and Crescos mixed up. The video shows the WAW Crescos (not Fletchers). The Crescos are PT6 turboprop powered and sound very much like any single turboprop aircraft e.g Cessna caravan.

In saying that once you know the sound and the aircraft that normally operate in you area - recognition can be easy.

The Fletcher on the otherhand is a bit trickier. The piston powered ones (which are becoming scarce now) certainly have a distinctive sound, unmatched by almost any other aircraft. Some Fletchers have also been modified with turboprops.

The biggest give aways as to whether you are looking at a Cresco or Turbo Fletcher are - Cresco has a ventral strake in front of the tail. Turbo Fletchers normally have an aircoop under the nosecowl.

yeah id say that its a fletcher with the older engine flying by im told it mite be the owner on his way back and forth from work ,
Wasent there one with a V8 that was really loud ?
i dont think it ever got cert
i love them both equal and as long as i see one of the two in a week im happy
