REAL BUDGET FLIGHTS!!

Just occasionally, I get lucky. Working the northern summer in Scandinavia, and saw on the internet (when I was not simming) some flights advertised around Europe for 1 SEK, which works out at 20 cents NZ, including all taxes and charges. I actually managed to book return tickets for 2 SEK including all taxes, charges, fuel supplements and any other charges that the airlines can invent, so I will be jetting off around Europe on my days off. Checked the credit card statement already to make sure that the final price was that low.

Now why can they not do the same back home. So much for AirNZ and Qantas 'cheap' tickets. This IS cheap.

Only downside is that the bus fare to the airport is going to cost 130 times as much as the flight!! Something wrong there.

Thanks very very much for the heads up! I'm going to Auckland for the day, perhaps do some spotting, and it's costing me $78 return ALL UP from Christchurch! Thanks!!! Still not as cheap as Europe, but I guess we don't know any better so they keep prices up?

I'm seriously thinking of going to visit my cousins in Auckland for the week-end as an end of NCEA Celebration!

It'll cost me more to get to Auckland and back from Rotorua than it will to get from Auckland to Christchurch...

Well, maybe some day they'll fly out of here. Just remember the other 2.1 million people who don't live in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch, maybe someday VB will get out to some of those as well.

I've already booked myself on a Pacific Bllue flight from CHC to AKL after xmas ($79 cf Air NZ $119), looking forward to it.

If i remember correctly from year 10 social studies, the reason budget airlines in europe have $2 shop prices is because the cities that they travel to pay the airlines to take passengers to those cities, to cash in on the tourist's money. I think this is right

Are Pacific Blue going to be flying to QN? If so, how much would an Auckland to Queenstown return ticket be then? Are Pacific Blue flying to QN?

If it's cheap, I will hopefully be able to get to the next WoW airshow

I would go on Xmas apart from the fact that I only get to spend 1 hour and 5 mins of Xmas in New Zealand.
I will have a 28ish hour Xmas - 1 hour 5 mins in N.Z. 15 hours in International Airspace and a final 11 hours 35 mins in another country

(I am starting to wonder where Christmas is going for me. Last year I only spent 6 hours of Xmas in N.Z. Anyway Xmas has now moved to the 24th and Xmas eve to the 23rd etc.)

Anyway like I said use the cheap flights as an "End of NCEA for the year" celebration. (then you can get your parents to pay for it

Doubt they will fly to ZQN, Not much room, and they need more experienced pilots for that, with an allowance to fly the approach

And probably more than two aircraft if they are to branch out from their current three routes I think.

So, for the meantime I think we can expect to see little or no change in PB's routes.

yup, but they are talking about getting these route established, and their routes set and safe in aussie, then once they have done that they are talking about bringing in emberiers into the smaller markets, i.e. hawkes bay, dunedin, invcargill palmerston north etc. so heres hoping it will happen , i think it will might take a few years. won't really affect me though!!
